Take my hand, and I’ll carry you… As providence would have it, while studying about worship, we were sent a copy of an article written by Bishop Michael Rinehart entitled “Insiders and Outsiders”. The questions and discussions that arose from this article lead us to this step on our faith journey.
Our current project, simply titled “Worship” was inspired by a desire to take a traditional liturgical setting, and make it easy for someone who has never stepped into a church understand what liturgical worship is all about. It answers the questions “Who are we, and what do we believe?” If you have never experienced liturgical worship, the music starts by welcoming you in. The melodies and arrangements are structured to make you more comfortable and the tunes become more familiar as the service progresses. Therefore, by the end of the service, you feel more comfortable in the music than when you began. Over time you begin to feel at home in the music, and can anticipate where the melody will be taking you. The liturgy mirrors our Christian walk, where at first we may not know exactly what to do. As we move forward in our relationship with Christ; listening, reading, and learning, we become more secure in our faith. The liturgy is repeated each time we gather, and it becomes a part of us. Like our faith, it becomes something we can count on and rely on. It enhances our walk with Christ. We become more trusting in where God is leading us, and more secure in our faith walk as we sing, pray, and worship together.
We live in a hurting and broken world. Each of us longs to be connected with one another, even when we can't find the language or the strength to do so.
What we do is about fellowship. To us that means establishing friendships and relationships, so we look forward to meeting and getting to know you just as you are. We believe that we are all friends and family, whether we have met yet or not, and nothing beats a handshake or a hug. We want to connect with you through social media or in person.
We have shared our music across the gulf coast for the past decade, playing hundreds of times crossing too many miles to count. We value each and every one of you. It is our prayer that you will take this music into your heart, and out into the world. We pray that it enhances part of your spiritual walk.
As this ministry grows, we look to Christ for guidance. We are not only preparing new music. We plan to share books, stories, on line events, podcasts, and Bible studies that we hope will grow our faith as well as our own .
